The Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation™ (FIRO®) assessment helps people understand their interpersonal needs and how those needs influence their communication style and behavior. Using this framework, we provide leaders with the skills necessary to enhance interpersonal effectiveness so they can relate more effectively to their coworkers, manager, and direct reports.

Workshop Objective
The goal of this workshop is to help leaders understand how their interpersonal needs affect their interactions and to improve their interpersonal communication skills. We will also teach them how to apply these insights to their teams to improve workplace dynamics.

Who is it for
This workshop will benefit leaders, managers, supervisors, anyone in human resources, and leadership candidates.

How does it work
Each leader will complete the FIRO® assessment, which will take about 15-minutes, before discussing the results and their impact during the session.

Outcomes

• Increases team performance by enabling team members to better understand relationship dynamics and reduce conflict.
• Expands understanding of leadership style, strengths, and challenges that affect performance and success—helping people overcome and in some cases prevent issues

Methodology
We utilize the FIRO® profile and FIRO Leadership Business Report to help leaders better understand their approach to handling negotiation and conflict, making decisions, and setting priorities.

Program Structure
This workshop takes place over the course of a half-day or full-day session, where leaders will gain in-depth descriptions of how people behave, how they affect others, and how they can be more effective as leaders and team members using the FIRO® Profile and Interpretive Report for Organizations.

Tools for Continued Learning
Post-workshop, each participant will receive a “FIRO Participating in Teams” booklet to refer back to and continue to improve.
