Understanding Interpersonal Needs Workshop
Using the FIRO Business® assessment, we will explore the three basic interpersonal needs: Involvement, Influence and Connection and help participants understand how their own needs influence their work behaviors and leadership style.
The goal of this workshop is to introduce leaders to the 3 interpersonal need areas, showcasing their own approach as well as the differences of approaches in others and how to flex their approach for the benefit of the whole team or organization.
Who is it for
Leaders and their teams will benefit from this workshop, learning how they interact with others, come across to others, and what they want from others to support their own needs.
How does it work
Each participant will take the FIRO Business assessment, which takes 15-20 minutes to complete, prior to the workshop. At the workshop, we will debrief the results in a group setting and promote tactics to provide others what they need in interpersonal interactions.
- Leaders will understand their interpersonal communication needs and the implications of those needs on their leadership style
- Learn alternate approaches that may benefit other styles and support a better outcome
- Explore tactics for leveraging self-awareness and recognition of personality diversity to provide others what they need in interpersonal interactions.
We use the FIRO Business Assessment and Profile to help participants understand their interpersonal communication needs and gain greater insight into how those needs influence their work.
This workshop can take place in a few ways: over the course of a half-day or full-day in-person session, or two 90-minute virtual sessions.
