The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®
Understanding MBTI®
In order to achieve professional development, personal development is a necessity. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) instrument helps individuals grow through understanding and appreciation of their personality differences and enhances productivity among diverse groups. With the help of the MBTI personality assessment, individuals will develop both personally and professionally to become their best, most authentic selves. In effect, teams will become more cohesive, productive, and effective.
What is MBTI?
The MBTI instrument is the best-known personality assessment. It identifies and describes 16 distinctive personality types based on basic preferences. Its purpose is to make the theory of psychological types, described by C. G. Jung, understandable and applicable in everyday life. Understanding personality type allows individuals to appreciate people’s differences as all types are considered equal.
Who’s MBTI for?
Individuals, teams, and organizations who want to learn personality types to seek to better understand themselves and others and develop personally and professionally will benefit from MBTI.
What does MBTI measure?
MBTI is a reliable instrument that measures personality type for the goal of understanding and appreciating differences between people. Personality type is measured based on the participant’s preferences of opposites in four areas: Extroversion or Introversion, Sensing or Intuition, Thinking or Feeling, and Judging or Perceiving
What are the benefits of MBTI?
Individuals who use MBTI will increase self-awareness, sharpen communication, improve conflict resolution skills, and utilize unique strengths. Teams who use MBTI will ease communication among team members, identify team strengths and weaknesses, and create action plans for improved performance.
